The Twenty-Second: Questionnaires and Books

The Twenty-Second: Questionnaires and Books

I went hunting for a questionnaire on books online because I really felt like doing one. So, this is what I found, and my answers to it. Link to where I found it is at the bottom.

1 – The best book you read last year:

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.

Changed my life, it did.

2 – A book you’ve read more than 3 times:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. I love that book too much not to.

3 – Your favorite series:

Harry Potter. No competition.

4 – A guilty pleasure book:

Any of the Malory Towers and St. Clare’s series by Enid Blyton

5 – A book that made you laugh:

Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

6 – A book that made you cry:

My Sister’s Keeper by Jodie Picoult. Also, the only book that managed to make me cry.

7 – Most underrated book:

Twilight. It’s really not that bad. It’s bordering on alright really, without the movies of course.

8 – Most overrated book:

The Immortals of Meluha by Amish Tripathi. I still don’t know why people made such a fuss about it. It sucked.

9 – A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving:

Girls in Love by Jacqueline Wilson. I fell in love with the entire series.

10 – Favorite classic book:

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger. One of the very few classics I’ve managed to read.

11 – A book you hated:

New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. Seriously, I waited through the entire book for something to happen to Bella. Death, serious injury, small graze. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.  Except waiting. And more waiting. Jeez.

12 – A book you used to love but don’t anymore:

Mates, Dates Series by Cathy Hopkins. I still like them, don’t love ‘em though.

13 – Your favorite author:

John Green. [Looking For Alaska, The Fault in Our Stars.]

14 – Favorite male character:

Augustus Waters. WHY DID HE DIE?

15 – Favorite female character:

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.

16 – Your biggest fictional crush:

Tobias Eaton from Divergent.

17 – A good quick read:

The Archie Comics. I read them all the time.

18 – A book that disappointed you:

The Oath of the Vayuputras by Amish Tripathi.

19 – Favorite book-to-movie conversion:

The Harry Potter Movies except Order of the Pheonix.

20 – Favorite romance:

Seth and Aislinn from Wicked Lovely.

21 – Favorite book from your childhood:

Tinkle, by Anant Pai. (Comic book)

22 – A book you can’t wait for:

The Sequel to The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey.

23 – A book you’ve been meaning to read for ages:

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

24 – A book that you wish more people would read:

Matilda by Roald Dahl.

25 – Character you are most similar to:

Hermione Granger. Nerd? Check. Bushy Hair? Check. Obnoxious personality at first? Check.

26 – A book that changed your opinion about something:

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseni. I really didn’t know how bad Afghanistan was to its women. It’s horrible.

27 – Most surprising plot twist or ending:

Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I died a little.

28 – Favorite book title:

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

29 – A book everyone hated but you liked:

Nothing in particular comes to mind right now.

30 – Your favorite book OF ALL TIME:

Any of the Harry Potter books.

So, here it is. All of my booky questions and their answers. Feel free to use it on your blog.

  1. I, too, hated New Moon. The only redeeming feature in that book was that neat literary trick where Meyer showed the passing of months by having four blank pages with just the names of the months on them. I thought that was brilliant. The rest, though … like you said, NOTHING HAPPENED. ARGH.
